Scholar in Residence: Rabbi Howard Jachter

All DayKesher Israel is proud to host Rabbi Chaim Jachter, rav hamachshir of the Washington Eruv and rabbi of Congregation Shaarei Orah, the Sephardic Congregation of Teaneck, New Jersey.
Rabbi Jachter will give the drasha on Shabbat morning, a pre-mincha shiur, and will speak at seuda shelishit on Shabbat evening.
Rabbi Jachter serves as the rabbi at Congregation Shaarei Orah, the Sephardic Congregation of Teaneck and is a popular teacher at the Torah Academy of Bergen County. He also serves as a Dayan on the Beth Din of Elizabeth and has acquired an international reputation of excellence in the area of Get administration. He has authored four volumes of Gray Matter which discuss contemporary Halachic issues of major importance.
Rabbi Jachter has authored dozens of scholarly articles that have appeared in prestigious Torah journals both in Israel and the United States. His weekly columns on Halacha, Aggada and Tanach, available at www.koltorah.org, and www.yutorah.org, are read by thousands worldwide. Rabbi Jachter lectures throughout the world on subjects of vital concern to the Jewish community. He also is called upon by over fifty communities throughout North America to assist in the constructing, expanding and maintaining of their Eruvin. Rabbi Jachter and his wife Malca reside in Teaneck, New Jersey with their five children.
