Kesher is proud to welcome Rav Ronen Neuwirth as scholar-in-residence on the weekend of April 1, Parshat Vayikra!  Rav Neuwirth is joining us from Israel, where he is the founder and president of Ve'AhavTA - TLV Jewish Experience, a grassroots social movement that is aiming to form a new narrative of unity in Israeli society based on Jewish identity.

Rav Neuwirth will be speaking three times over the course of Shabbat:

--Shabbat morning drasha:  "Do We Really Want the Return of Korbanot?"

--Shabbat afternoon shiur at 5:45 p.m.:  "Challenges of Halakha in a Rapidly Changing World"

--Seudah shlishit talk:  "The Israeli-Arab Conflict in a Spiritual Perspective"

Prior to founding Ve'Ahavta, Rav Neuwirth served from 2008-2016 as the rabbi of Ohel Ari (Minyan Chadash) Congregation in Ra’anana.  He is the founder and was the first executive director of “Beit Hillel – Attentive Spiritual Leadership,” a spiritual leadership organization comprised of over 200 rabbanim and rabbaniyot that strives to magnify the voice of centrist mainstream Judaism and stop the religious extremism in Israel.  He also teaches at Matan HaSharon seminary in Ra’anana.  Rav Neuwirth served as a captain in the Israeli Navy Special Forces.  He holds semikha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and received a B.A. in mathematics and computer science from Bar Ilan University.
