Welcome Visitors!

The Kesher Israel community is very dedicated to fulfilling the mitzvah of Hachnasat Orchim by providing Shabbat hospitality for visitors and new members of the community. Below is information on the hospitality services we are able to provide.

Shabbat Meals

Members of our community regularly open their homes to visitors and members of the community for Shabbat meals. If you would like dine with a member of our community on Shabbat, please contact us via email before 5:30 PM on Wednesday of the week you wish to come. Hospitality requests received by this deadline can almost always be filled. One can also request hospitality on Shabbat after services. Late, and on-Shabbat requests can frequently be filled, but these options much less reliable.

Families or groups of five or more persons should not expect hospitality. We are happy to try, but are rarely successful in placing such large groups.

Shabbat Accommodations

The demographics of our community prevent us from offering places to stay overnight. We suggest staying at one of the myriad hotels within walking distance to Kesher Israel. A sampling of hotels can be found here or by clicking the "Hotels Within Walking Distance" link at left.
