Chaim Saiman is a scholar of Jewish law, insurance law and private law at Villanova University, and has served as a visiting professor at Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, and Princeton University. He received his B.S. from Georgia State University and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, and has studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and Yeshivat Keren B'Yavne in Israel. His book, Halakhah: The Rabbinic Idea of Law, was recently published by Princeton University Press.
