Community Dinner and Drash with Dr. Rachel B. Gross

Please join Kesher for a delicious Chanukah-themed community dinner at 6 pm on Friday, December 15, Shabbat Chanukah. Dinner will be followed by a talk at 7 pm entitled “Ghosts in the Gallery: Historic Synagogues and American Jewish Nostalgia” delivered by our scholar-in-residence, Dr. Rachel B. Gross. 

Registration closes at 12 pm on Tuesday, December 12.

Dr. Rachel B. Gross is the John and Marcia Goldman Professor of American Jewish Studies in the Department of Jewish Studies at San Francisco State University. She is currently working on a book that examines the religious nature of contemporary nostalgic representations of American Jewish immigration history. She received her PhD in Religion from Princeton University.
