Mechirat Chametz (Sale of Chametz)

Rabbi Shafner will be coordinating the sale of chametz for Kesher Israel this year.

All Kesher Israel chametz sales will be conducted online.

Though in other years it may be preferable to appoint Rabbi Shafner in person, your online agency is fully acceptable halachically. Please click here to fill out the online form. That is all that is required.

The online form must be completed by 11:59 PM Monday, April 3rd!

Please wait an hour after the end of the holiday to use your chametz.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch with Rabbi Shafner.

Maot Chittim

If one is concerned about their ability to afford Pesach foods, please contact Rabbi Shafner for assistance.

Maot Chittim donations can be contributed online or called into the office.

To ensure that funds are available for distribution in time for Chag, please complete by Friday, March 31st.

Bi'ur Chametz (burning of Chametz)

There will be an outdoor burning of chametz at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 5 in the backyard of the Shafner/Winkelman residence.

Ne'ilat Ha'Chag
Thursday, April 13, following Mincha at Kesher Israel

On the last day of Pesach following mincha join us for Ne'ilat Ha'Chag to say good-bye to the Pesach holiday. Come enjoy some snacks and some song as we bid farewell to the Yom Tov.

Sponsored by the Eli & Adi Feen & Family in memory of Adi’s father, Yitzchak ben Reuven HaLevi, in recognition of the inspired spiritual leadership and warm friendship of the Shafners, and in gratitude to the Kesher Israel community for its support of our family (Gidon benefited so much from this community!)
