Rabbi Yehudah Mirsky, a proud alumnus of Kesher Israel, is Professor of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis, and as well a member of the faculty of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies. He teaches courses on the history of Israel on Zionism, on Jewish intellectual history, and on human rights.
He has written on religion, politics and culture for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic, The Daily Beast, The American Interest, Dissent and The Economist and many other publications. His Rav Kook: Mystic in a Time of Revolution was published in 2014 by Yale University Press and was awarded the Jewish Book Council’s Choice Prize.
Rabbi Mirsky lives in Brookline with his wife, Tamar Biala, and their daughters Nehara and Nofet.
