Maot Chittim Donation 2022

The tradition of "Maot Chittim" is a long-standing way of helping community members prepare for Pesach. Originally focusing on "wheat money," this mitzvah enabled the poor of our community to purchase the wheat to make their own matzah. 

 

But times have changed.  Today, we live in a world of different Pesach certifications and designated foods, all of which are expensive.  Today, this tzedakah helps people buy the basics for Pesach. 

 

Contributions made here will go directly to the Kesher Israel Welfare Fund to support those in-need in our community for Pesach and to Tomchei Shabbos of Greater Washington.
