Epstein dedicates his presentation in the memory of his brother, M. William Epstein, MD.  He writes: The date of this presentation, March 30th, is also the birthdate of my brother, M. William Epstein, MD.  He was three years older than I, yet five years ahead of me in school.  I attribute his skipping of several grades to his obvious talent as well as to the fact that he went to Kindergarten.  I did not.  At age 5 I did not want to leave my Mama each day to attend kindergarten.  I thereby created a large, unfillable and enduring gap in my education. A dedicated physician, William, together with his wife Sylvia Barenblat Epstein, raised four sons to adulthood and have 12 grandchildren, all productive members of society and committed Jews in communities across America.  So I dedicate this presentation to William’s memory.
