Join us for a lecture with Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian, Prince of Denmark, Count of Monpezat!  He will be giving a presentation on the long-standing relations between Denmark and its Jewish residents, with an emphasis on the period during World War II.   In particular, he will speak about his great grandfather, King Christian X, who played a pivotal role in saving Denmark’s Jewish community in 1943. 

The Prince is the younger brother of the current King of Denmark, Frederik X and great grandson of King Christian X, the Danish king who resisted the Nazis and help save the Danish Jewish community.  He is also twice-over a direct descendant of Queen Victoria and related to various other European monarchs, including the current King of England.
