"HaAdam Al HaYareach": Man on the Moon with Dr. Alan Gersch

6:45 PM - 7:45 PMKesher Israel50 years ago, Rabbi M.M. Kasher, one of the gedolim of the previous century, wrote a series of essays relating to the most unprecedented event in human history, the Apollo 11 moon landing, in light of Jewish texts, tradition, thought and halacha.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the Moon, we will study excepts of Rabbi Kasher's essays.
Dr. Alan Gersch studied at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and Yeshivat Har Etzion, and has taught Daf Yomi and other Bible and Talmud classes in our community. He received a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Maryland. Check out his Torah and Astronomy blog at AstroRav.com.
