Seudah Shelishit with Ambassador Daniel Taub and Sargent Amichai Taub

He served as the Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom (2011- 2015) and as Director of Strategy and Planning of the Yad Hanadiv (Rothschild) foundation (2015-2021) . He has held a wide variety of legal and diplomatic posts. He was extensively involved in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and led the Israeli side of the Culture of Peace track of negotiations. He was also a member of Israel's negotiation team in the Israel-Syrian negotiations. He has represented Israel at many international legal and diplomatic forums and conferences and writes and lectures widely on international law and negotiation theory. Taub was educated at University College, Oxford; University College, London; and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife and six children.
Amichai Taub is a sergeant in an elite combat engineering unit in the IDF. He has been in the army for two years and since October 7th 2003 he has served in both the Gaza Strip and South Lebanon. In addition to his combat role, he trains new recruits. He has been invited to speak about his experiences in the IDF in South Africa and the UK.
Before joining the IDF, Amichai volunteered and studied in a Yeshiva/Jewish studies academy on Israel's northern border. He is the youngest of 6 children. All his brothers have served and continue to serve in elite combat units. He spent 4 years in the United Kingdom during his parents' diplomatic posting there. He enjoys studying Arabic, playing saxophone and piano, and oil painting.
