Join us for a virtual program on Sunday May 17th at 8 pm featuring fellow Kesher member  ProfessorJeremy Rabkin,  professor of law at George Mason University. 

"Law in Emergencies: From the Romans to the Talmud to Today"  What to do when established law is too slow or too limited to cope with a pressing threat?  A comparison of Roman law, medieval rabbinic rulings, and practice in modern Western democracies.

Jeremy Rabkin is professor of law at George Mason University where he teaches (among other things) U.S. constitutional history, administrative law and international law.  He was appointed to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Institute of Peace by President George W. Bush and reappointed by President Barak Obama.  Before coming to Washington in 2007, he taught in the Department of Government at Cornell University for more than two decades.
