Zissy Turner is a student in Yeshiva University’s Graduate Program for Women in Advanced Talmud Study. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and occasionally visits the other three boroughs. An alumna of Queens College, Zissy graduated with a BA in neuroscience. During her time on QC campus, she interned for the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus. As intern, she helped facilitate programs and initiatives to engage, teach, and help build a vibrant Orthodox community on campus. As far as future plans go, Zissy hopes to be involved in the Jewish communal world, focusing on education and textual learning.
